Task 2b
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of having a large number of foreign workers in a country.

Some of the disadvantages can be that many foreign workers, work in conditions that native workers would not accept and by law cannot accept. They may even work for less pay and become part of the “black economy”. Another problem is that work migration van put pressure on welfare system.
When a large number of migrant workers come from the same country, the customs and culinary specialities that they bring with them can be welcome addition to the local culture. It is positive to mix cultures and learn about the different ways of living.

Task 2c
Globalization will continue. Discuss what vision you see of the future when it comes to global education and work possibilities.

I think it will be more workers in the future.

Task 5
Contact a local company and ask them if they need to use English in their line of business. If so, for what purposes?

Lid Jarnindustri was the company my group called and talked with. They said that they have to use English to communicate with other countries when they are doing business. It is positive for the company to maintain a relationship with other foreign countries, so that the profit will be bigger.
